The RMS Titanic was the largest ship in the world. RMS means “Royal Mail Ship”. Titanic means “huge, giant, and massive”. Its length was 269.1 metres and the ship used 825 tons of coal every day. There were 10.000 lamp bulbs on the ship; so, it was more like a star in the Atlantic Ocean. There were 840 rooms on the ship. 416 was for the First-Class passengers;162 was for Second Class passengers; and 262 was for the Third-Class passengers. Thomas Andrews designed this ship, and it was built up in Belfast, Ireland. On the ship, there were 10 decks, on which people danced, walked, talked and musicians played music. The ship had four funnels, but the fourth funnel was not working because it was built to make the ship seem more powerful and strong. The ship left Southampton on the night of April 14, 1912 to go to New York. This was her maiden voyage. People said that even God cannot sink this ship.
