Do you know about the deepest hole in the world? Its name is Mariana Trench, which is found in the western Pacific Ocean. Its depth is 10,984 metres. Mariana Trench is taller than Mountain Everest in India, which is 8,844 metres. Can you imagine? It is unbelievable. It is scary, too. Because there can live a Megalodon.
In the world, only two men went into this hole in 1960. Jacques Piccard and Don Walsh descended this hole and they stayed on the bottom for 20 minutes. However, when they went down, they did not have cameras, so they did not take photographs.
In 2012, James Cameron, who is a Canadian explorer and filmmaker, descended the Mariana Trench and stayed on the bottom for a long time. He explored the hole and took photographs. When he was in the hole, he saw a lot of different sharks, fish, turtles but a shark was very big, so he thought that this animal can be a Megalodon.
